Director of Communications at Thor

San Francisco, May 29, 2018—We are thrilled to announce that we have added the talented Shaunak Mali as Product Advisor! Shaunak will guide the development and implementation of our product offerings with a focus on our Instant Pay transaction infrastructure.

“The opportunity to build something special with the accomplished team at Thor was one I couldn’t pass up. Gig workers are a prominent — but underserved — community, and the Thor solution addresses the structural issues of the sharing economy. I am looking forward to creating something that improves the lives of people everywhere.”
— Shaunak Mali

During his decade in Silicon Valley, Shaunak has worked with high-growth tech companies of all sizes and through a wide range of phases from seed funding to IPOs and, of course, Token Sales. Prior to joining our team, Shaunak was the first Solutions Engineer at Checkr where he directly impacted $90 million in revenue and provided technical expertise for Checkr’s top clients, including Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, and Instacart.

Before joining Checkr, Shaunak worked at Optimizely as an Enterprise Solutions Architect. At Optimizely, he worked closely with major clients including Disney, Jawbone, CNN & iHeart Media, guiding them through implementation of Optimizely’s industry-leading A/B testing and conversion rate software. Shaunak graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010 with a Masters in Computer Science.

“We are very excited about adding Shaunak to our rapidly growing team. He has already managed enterprise relationships with companies in the Gig Economy, and his experience will help us optimize our payment infrastructure to cater to the exact needs of On Demand companies. This hire is a home run for Thor.”
