San Francisco, February 21, 2018—Our excellent team keeps growing! We’re delighted to announce that Leo Rong has officially joined Thor Token full time as our Lead Software Engineer. Leo will be designing the NEP-5 smart contract for our Token Sale, as well as leading our blockchain and software development efforts.

Leo joins Thor Token from Splunk, Inc., where he spent two and a half years as a software engineer. While working at Splunk, Leo learned to design and develop secure, scalable, and well-tested software applications using modern software technologies. Since last June, Leo often found himself staying up all night doing research and open source development work and nurturing his fascination with blockchain technology.

“I love Thor Token’s mission. Providing access to healthcare and other basic employment benefits to the people who need it (my mom included!) is a project I’m very proud to be a part of. I’m also very excited to work within the NEO open source ecosystem. The development community is incredibly active, intelligent, and ready to take on the world.” — Leo Rong

Leo is a graduate of Stanford University, where he received his B.S. in Computer Science in 2014.

“I met Leo at a NEO meet-up in 2017, and I immediately knew he was someone I wanted to work with. When developing our dApp for NEO’s first developer competition, Leo showed incredible leadership working late nights to get us across the finish line. Throughout the experience, his patience and mentorship ability were constantly apparent. Leo will be an incredible leader at Thor and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to the team.” — Matt Moravec, CTO
